Thank You

“Steve, I wanted to write to personally thank you for your time and, more importantly, perspective in my pursuit to sobriety three years ago. When I came to you, I felt absolutely hopeless, having run off any meaningful relationships that I had previously held.

I was a selfish, inconsiderate individual with little to no concern of what others felt. Narcotics made me lose track of who I genuinely was, and I had officially hit rock bottom. You, sir, enlightened me through your personal experiences and lessons learned through the process of getting sober. With your ability to fully understand the thought process of an addict, you were able to interpret situations and provide solutions that only an addict could understand. One of the hardest things to do is explain to someone who has never experienced what I have dealt with, and attempting to tell them “why” I did the things that I had done. With your understanding, you were able to connect fully, and grasp each situation that I explained. It was refreshing to speak to someone that I could connect with on that level, because I had never had that prior to our meetings.

One day, you told me that you had spent years of your life being selfish, only serving yourself. That is something that I will never forget, and vow to exemplify for the rest of my time here on this beautiful earth. I am proud to say that I have engaged in various charitable opportunities, built a much better relationship with my family, and met that girl of dreams that I know wouldn’t of even batted an eye at me had I not been sober. I thank you for that, Steve. I owe you all of the credit, because without you, sir, none of that would have been possible. I genuinely appreciate the time and effort that you put into me. Continue helping others, because that is what you were put on this earth to do. I couldn’t have done it without you. Fortunately, I am alive, and here to say that I have been sober for three years and eleven months. You are to thank. God bless you, Steve.” – Sincerely, Harrison Baize (with permission)

“Looking back, over the more than two years that I worked with Steve, he gave me tools, I guess you would say, to handle anything. I had been trying to quit my former ways for decades before I met Steve” – SH, Georgia

“Thank you so much. 💓 yes you have been a huge part of my development and I’m grateful you’re in my life…..you came at just the right time.” – GB, California

“I want to thank you for the time you spent with me while I was living in Georgia. It made a difference. I left town after graduating and have been doing well.” – Student at the University of Georgia.

“Steve has been through an amazing journey and healed himself on so many levels. He has worked hard to polish and brighten his inner light which gives him a tremendous insight to helping others. If you are ready to show up and do work, Steve will do the same for you.” – KL, Georgia

“I was in college, about to flunk out, and facing a serious DUI charge. All I can say about the year I spent with Steve and Recovery Cafe is that I never knew what he was talking about but it all made perfect sense. I graduated college, did not go to jail, and now own a successful buisness and have for three years.” – AH, Georgia
