The new WindAndRaven.com is going back to its roots and branching out–it’s a total reset. The culmination of a rebuilding that began before the pandemic nearly became a casualty and has now been reborn. What a long strange year it’s been! Being an empowerment and life coach/counselor, the events of the last 12 months are visible worldwide.
I am staying in Colombia, where I have been since October 1st, with hopes of traveling to eastern Europe in the early Summer. Following seven weeks in Medellin, I traveled on to Pereira. I have been around Colombia quite a bit, from Bogota to the Coffee Triangle and Paisa regions, and there is still plenty of more places I will see in the coming six weeks.
Covid Cage
Since I relaunched WindAndRaven.com as a website dedicated to my online counseling work, it has been a year now, and a lot has changed. At the time, I was still in Athens, Georgia, where I had just spent a year recovering from a liver transplant and cancer, and then Covid arrived.
At first, it appeared I would be very busy with all the emotional stress in the population due to the pandemic. I worked remotely for decades and was already doing so with my work as a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counsellor on the phone, and Skype did not translate into a boon in business as forecast.
Without recapping everything, the new website’s launch never really happened as I entered shutdown, March 4th, the day it went live.
By the time I left my home on day 77, the website was mainly an afterthought. By August, I had decided to leave the US; thus, I lost my certification as it is good only in the US, but I continue working with individuals.
But even that has changed, not only in who I speak with, but what we talk about as well.
Off to Colombia
Shortly after arriving in Medellin on October 1st, I entered into a mini-learning phase of reading several books. I was already familiar with each before I read or listened to it. My assumption had always been something along the lines that the content would be rehashing in other books.
I am sure you have experienced such a thing at some point. The realization that I was also assuming that I knew everything was enough of a reminder to open up, and I am glad that I did.
With I left the US, the plan was to reinvent Wind and Raven in some recovery capacity and continue with individuals interested in longer-term and customized conversations, as is the case with most clients. Addiction became attachment as recovery became freedom as an overall theme that began to resonate.
What about Digital Nomad
My other plan was to travel the world to existing cultural and spiritual significance elements as part of my continuing personal path and document this experience on YouTube. For anyone who has been following that part of the saga, you also likely know that I have a partner now, and we have teamed up as Two American Nomads. Inasmuch, all the videos are currently a part of WindandRaven.com and TwoAmericanNomads.com. That is changing. The new website Wind And Raven will send visitors to Two American Nomads for all digital nomad content from now on.
Now What?
My new online presence, the newly redone http://www.WindAndRaven.com, went live on Monday, February 15th. This website is now primarily for my online counseling and coaching services. Most of my v-blogs that I have done since traveling have been moved over to my traveling website http://www.TwoAmericanNomads.com. The same will take place with both YouTube channels.
As far as my work goes, I am working primarily in three configurations. Two programs, Four in Forty and 60 Day Fresh Start, are highly customizable. At the same time, individual sessions are almost always available within a day or two. So, reach out if that is something perhaps for you?
I am very excited about the future of my work as my continuing travels have impacted it. Additionally, meeting my new partner Julina Tabares, who herself is an empowerment coach/business coach at http://www.OneLifeToBeYou.com, as well as one of Two American Nomads, has opened me up to new areas I only glimpsed before. We have even kicked around the idea of a masterclass that merges our specialties.
That is what it is all about.
