During a crisis at midlife, many women seek healing and transformation. In my experience working with clients, I have noticed that middle-aged women who have faced challenges such as separation and substance misuse can often be some of the most successful clients. As someone who works with clients of certain demographic characteristics, I have come to understand that these challenges can be some of the most difficult ones to overcome.
As we navigate through our midlife crises, it’s important to be consciously aware of our actions and accountable for the outcomes we create. Our unique experiences can help us make better choices in the future, but sometimes life can be complex, and our decisions are not always the best. That’s where the beauty of longevity in session work comes in. It allows us to explore and unravel our complications, so we can part ways with a clearer understanding of ourselves and our path forward.
In my work with clients facing a crisis at midlife, I often find that forgiveness is a key component of healing and transformation. When we learn to forgive ourselves and others, we can release the negative emotions that are holding us back and move forward with a sense of clarity and purpose. This is especially true for middle-aged women who are facing challenges such as separation and substance misuse.
One story that I often share with my clients is the tale of Forseti, the Viking god of justice and peace. Forseti’s tale is one of forgiveness and understanding, and it resonates deeply with many of my clients. The story teaches us that forgiveness is a powerful tool that can help us move forward, even when we are faced with difficult challenges.
Living on an island, Cozumel, where the goddess Ixchel shines her light as it does on nearby Isla Mujeres, the Island of Women, has also helped me develop my work further. I have found that the lessons from Forseti’s tale and the experiences of my clients are universal, and they can be applied to anyone who is seeking healing and transformation.
As we continue to navigate our own crises at midlife, it’s important to remember that life has a funny way of leading us where we need to go. Sometimes the challenges we face can be the greatest opportunities for growth and transformation. With the right mindset and a willingness to forgive ourselves and others, we can overcome any obstacle and emerge stronger and more resilient than ever before.
