I recount my journey through the trials and triumphs of my life, forever embracing life’s odyssey. With a past marred by drug and alcohol abuse and a series of health challenges, I found solace and purpose in helping others overcome their struggles.

My transformation began in 2011 when I was diagnosed with terminal liver failure, ultimately leading to liver cancer. Over the next few years, I became certified as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor and added cancer to my health conditions. But in 2019, a successful liver transplant renewed my lease on life, and I set out on a new path.

Freedom from or freedom to be? My terminal diagnosis ended, and I embarked on a journey to redefine my life. Amid the Covid pandemic in 2020, I left counseling, stored my belongings, and departed the United States. My life as a nomad began, traveling south of the border, first to Colombia for seven months and then to Mexico. These events freed me from the illness and the limitations of clinical work. It likewise enabled me to enjoy the freedom to be anything I chose.

During my travels, I continued to help others on their recovery path, maintaining a small load of long-time clients. Despite facing setbacks and challenges, I remained determined to make a difference. In addition, my unique background and experiences as a trained Shamanic Practitioner, high school dropout, US Army veteran, and former online sports media website owner allowed me to connect with my clients on a deeper level.

Living a digital nomad lifestyle, I have learned that nothing is impossible. My journey has transformed me into a coach focused on helping others embrace their own life’s odyssey. We all have the power to heal ourselves. It starts with making our own choices and being accountable only to ourselves. Remember, you only have one life to be you.

As I continue my hero’s journey, I draw inspiration from Shamanism and my clinical certification as a recovery coach and drug and alcohol counselor. I strive to live a life filled with love, echoing the words of a favorite lyricist: “Without love in the dream, it will never come true.” Embracing life’s odyssey, I move past terminal, addiction, and recovery, and whatever I do, I keep moving.
